Adorján thinks in series again: he paints the same two handbag-promotion figures in different environments, in this case on a street in San Francisco. The precedent of the painting is the 2013 Hitchhiker Beauties, with a motel in the background. Typical American lights compensate for the static state of the two highlighted female figures.
Attila Adorján is a Hungarian artist, born in 1968. His paintings can be found in numerous Austrian and international private collections and in the Hungarian National Gallery of Budapest. He completed his master‘s degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest in 1998 with the renowned artist Dóra Maurer. Since then, his works have been shown at various solo and group exhibitions, including Art Scope Miami and now for the seventh time in a row at the KONRAD Gallery during KONRAD Art Week 2023. Since 1992 he has received several awards, including the Prize of the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts, the Budapest Bank Prize and the Prize of the Hungarian National Foundation for Culture.
